North Sheen Carpet Cleaners provides domestic and commercial cleaning solutions, including carpet, upholstery, and fabric care where agreed in advance. The scope of each service depends on the condition of the materials, the suitability of the environment, and the information supplied at the time of booking. Any special requirements, access limitations, or known risks should be disclosed before the appointment. Where a customer’s instructions conflict with these terms, these terms will prevail unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotations are based on the information supplied by the customer and may change if the actual circumstances differ from those described. This includes, without limitation, excessive soiling, pet contamination, stain complexity, restricted access, or additional rooms and items not originally disclosed.

Customers must ensure that all details provided during the booking process are accurate and complete. This includes contact details, service address, parking or access restrictions, relevant health and safety information, and any fragile or valuable items in the work area. If the customer requests a specific cleaning method or product, North Sheen Carpet Cleaners will consider the request but cannot guarantee that it will be suitable for the surface or stain type. The final decision on safe and appropriate cleaning methods rests with the technician on site.

Service Conditions and Customer Responsibilities

This includes removing small personal items, securing breakables, and providing reasonable access to the areas to be cleaned. Where furniture moving is included, only items that can be safely handled by one or two technicians may be moved, and this is always subject to inspection. Heavy, fixed, delicate, or high-value items are excluded unless specifically agreed in advance.

Customers must disclose any pre-existing damage, permanent staining, colour loss, mould, loose fibres, water damage, underlay issues, or previous cleaning treatments. Carpet and upholstery cleaning can improve appearance but cannot guarantee complete stain removal or restoration of damaged materials. Natural fibres, older textiles, and delicate finishes may react unpredictably to cleaning solutions, heat, moisture, or agitation. North Sheen Carpet Cleaners will use reasonable care and industry-standard methods, but results can vary according to the condition and composition of the item.

Payments

Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking or on the invoice. Unless stated otherwise, payment is due immediately upon completion of the service, or in accordance with the invoice terms for commercial accounts. North Sheen Carpet Cleaners may accept bank transfer, card payment, or other agreed methods. Cash payments, where accepted, must be made in full at the end of the appointment unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.

If a deposit is requested, it may be used to secure the booking and cover administrative or scheduling costs. Deposits are non-refundable where the customer cancels outside the permitted notice period or fails to provide access. Any outstanding balance must be paid promptly. Late payment may result in administrative charges, interest where permitted by law, suspension of further services, and recovery action for unpaid invoices. The customer remains liable for all reasonable costs incurred in pursuing overdue sums.

Any additional work requested on the day, including extra rooms, stain treatment, deodorising, or specialist fabric care, may be charged separately. The technician may amend the price if additional labour, materials, or time are required beyond the original quotation. Where the customer declines the revised price, only the agreed elements of the service will proceed, provided it is safe and practical to do so.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. If cancellation occurs within the notice period stated at booking, no charge may apply or only a reduced administrative fee may be charged, depending on the booking type and the resources already allocated. If cancellation is made at short notice, or if the technician is unable to access the property on arrival, the customer may be charged the full or partial service fee to cover lost time, travel, and preparation.

The company may also need to reschedule or cancel a booking due to unsafe conditions, extreme weather, staffing limitations, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. In such cases, North Sheen Carpet Cleaners will attempt to offer an alternative appointment. The company will not be liable for losses arising from delays or rescheduling where the cause is outside its reasonable control, provided it acts reasonably and communicates with the customer as soon as practicable.

Liability and Limitations

The company will not accept responsibility for pre-existing defects, hidden damage, manufacturing faults, poor installation, colour instability, shrinkage risk inherent to certain materials, or damage caused by inappropriate prior cleaning methods. Customers are advised that cleaning may reveal pre-existing wear or damage that was previously concealed by dirt or residue. Where the technician identifies a significant risk to the item or surface, work may be refused, postponed, or continued only at the customer’s request and risk after suitable warning.

If damage occurs as a direct result of the company’s negligence, the customer must notify North Sheen Carpet Cleaners within a reasonable time and allow an opportunity to inspect the item before any repair or replacement is arranged. The company may choose to repair, replace, or compensate up to the reasonable value of the affected service element, subject to applicable law and any insurance arrangements. Any claim must be supported by evidence and must be limited to the affected item or service area.

Waste Regulations and Disposal

The provision of cleaning services may generate wastewater, extracted debris, packaging, used consumables, or removed residue. North Sheen Carpet Cleaners will handle waste in a lawful and responsible manner, in accordance with applicable UK waste management and environmental requirements. Waste will be stored, transported, and disposed of using reasonably appropriate methods and, where necessary, through approved disposal channels. The customer agrees not to request unlawful disposal methods or any practice that would breach environmental rules.

If the customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, they should notify North Sheen Carpet Cleaners promptly and provide reasonable detail. The company may request an opportunity to inspect the matter and, where appropriate, return to assess the issue. Complaints will be handled fairly and in a commercially reasonable manner. Any remedy will depend on the nature of the issue, the evidence available, and whether the customer has followed the care instructions provided after completion of the service.

The company will not be liable for delay or failure to perform its obligations caused by events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, traffic disruption, illness, supply shortages, utility failures, or civil disturbance. In such circumstances, performance may be suspended without liability until the event has passed or alternative arrangements can reasonably be made. If a delay continues for an unreasonable period, either party may cancel the affected booking.

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in law, operating practice, or service structure. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking unless a mandatory change in law requires a different approach. No variation will be binding unless confirmed by North Sheen Carpet Cleaners in writing or through an updated booking confirmation.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the customer is entitled to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction under mandatory law. This governing law provision applies to all matters relating to the booking, the performance of services, payment, cancellation, liability, and waste handling.

By engaging North Sheen Carpet Cleaners, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms. They also confirm that they are authorised to request the service at the relevant premises and to agree to any charges arising from the booking. These Terms and Conditions form the complete agreement between the parties in relation to the service unless supplemented by a separate written contract.
